Statement: Claudia Kirkpatrick worked in communications at Michigan Bell telephone company and GM Technical Center. She studied art at Madona University in Livonia, Michigan, and completed a two-year correspondence course thru North Light Art School. In 1990, she and her husband, William, moved to Fairfield Glade, TN.
Biography: Claudia Kirkpatrick and her husband, William, were drawn to Fairfield Glade by its beauty and golf opportunities. She learned about the Art Center the first time they visited the Glade to purchase a lot. In December of 1990, she joined the Art Guild and became treasurer. She started the Artifacts, Budget show, and the Judge & Jury show and has held every office at the Art Center except for the secretary. Claudia has loved every minute of being involved with the Art Guild. She uses all art mediums and has taught acrylic pours at the Art Center, and she intends to teach another class in the future. While being inspired by great composition and color, she enjoys painting almost anything. She would like to try alcohol ink and pottery.
When Claudia isn’t at the Art Guild volunteering in some aspect, she spends her time reading and studying spiritual books. She also enjoys fashion, gardening, poker, and the theater.
