Statement: Although born in Washington, DC, Linda Patrick grew up and lived primarily in the Annapolis, Maryland, area. She started her career working for a non-profit association as a receptionist. She worked up to Secretary-Treasurer, commuting to the Washington, DC, area for forty years. She continues to do consulting with the association on occasion. Linda has a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and double-minored in Labor Relations and Management.

Biography: Linda and Tom Patrick began their retirement research and settled on Fairfield Glade, Tn. primarily due to the amenities Fairfield Glade offers. Tom appreciated the golf courses, while Linda was captivated by the scenery of the area, the lakes, hiking trails, and the Art Guild. With both interests combined, the Patrick’s felt they’d found a piece of heaven and couldn’t have made a better decision.

Before moving to Fairfield Glade, Linda researched the area and visited the Art Center several times. She knew she wanted to be involved in something as well as be a volunteer. She became an Art Center member a week after moving to Fairfield Glade in June 2020. She is currently Vice President and 1st Co-coordinator of Membership Services.

While in college, Linda took drawing classes as electives. She’s drawn to animals and landscapes but finds many things visually inspiring. She hasn’t found her “go-to” medium yet and is exploring all mediums. At this point, she favors pastels and acrylics. She hopes a class in oils will be offered as this is a medium she’d like to try.

When not busy at the Art Center, Linda likes to read and play various games including cards. She enjoys exploring and finds time to fit hiking into her schedule.
