Statement: Aside from two (2) very early years in CA, I lived in Northern IL all my life until 4 years ago when we moved to Fairfield Glade.

Biography: I went to college as a chemistry major, but soon switched to art; eventually specializing in ceramics. Some local potters allowed me to “dabble” in their studios for a half dozen years, but then life got in the way.

After 43 years as a machinist, primarily in aerospace, I chose to retire in FFG for warmer winters and lower taxes, nearby parks, and the Playhouse. First Friday Fun & Wine brought me to the Plateau Creative Art Center. Joining the Guild has rekindled my artistic side, introduced me to many new friends, and allowed me to learn exciting skills such as pastels, stained glass, polymer clay and glass painting. I hope to also try alcohol ink, watercolor, and acrylic pour. If I’m not doing art, I’m out in my yard gardening!
